Our Family

Texas

Wow, we are having a baby a week from this Wednesday! I felt so "not ready" so we went to the store last night and bought a few things and then came home and packed our little hospital bag. Wow it doesn't feel real. We have been showered with blessings lately. A lot of them are personal but can I just say that Heavenly Father loves us all way more than we will ever know.

Aaron is officially done with his neurofeedback course and only has his mentorship and test to take to be certified! He is so busy though with his job and calling that it is hard for him to have time to get things set up. We have been planning for him to open his practice for a while now and Aaron has gone through 3 different companies who promised to provide clinical supervision hours to him for his licensure. This last company that he has been at for 6 months... sigh... it turns out that they can't provide him with supervision either after they had promised it to him and we switched over to them. So we started the search again for a company that would and we couldn't find one... in Arizona. We came across some job opportunities in Texas that were fantastic so we looked into the licensing department in Texas and found out that Aaron is fully qualified to open his own practice there right now. We prayed and fasted and wham-oh we are moving to Texas! There is a company there that is just waiting for Aaron to switch over his license paperwork and they will take him. This will take another month or so but we are so excited! We will be moving to the Houston area.
This will make move #9 since Aaron and I have been married! We are going to rent out our house. In 5 years Arizona will let us switch the license back over here... we will see how things go until then. We are so excited and everything is falling into place. It will be hard to be without all our family and friends though =( Of course we will be back often for visits! Arizona is where we were both born and raised after all.

I completely understand the craziness of the mental health field when it comes to supervision hours. We feel your pain!! Glad you have some new opportunities to explore in Texas. I hope you keep writing on your blog so we can stay in touch. Best of luck with the new little bundle of joy and the upcoming move.
